Why is there a delay when typing emails at aol.com webmail?

I am using Internet Explorer 7 on a Dell (windows XP) and the phishing filter is turned off. There is about a 1 second delay after each letter is typed on any email sent from Aol.com (Webmail)…any serious fixes?

This problem did not happen on IE 6.
